Can i aplly for a tourist visa to accompany my ailing mother in-law to US?my husband is an american citizen?

my mother in-law has hearing difficulty and poor eyesight,she cannot travel alone she is also an american citizen.she needs to go to US for her yearly check up. do you think the consul will grant me a tourist visa? i plan to stay there until my in-law medical check-ups were done.i need to go back to the phils bec.my 2 grandchildrens live with me. i worked as an accountant here. please let me know if the consul will grant me a trourist visa. thanks
