What do Canadiens do in their spare time apart from playing hockey? And is Justin Bradley (actor) well known?

I'm probably gonna go to Canada for my GAP YEAR and plus I'm doing a creative writing course at school and I'm setting my story in Whitby, Canada so i have to get a real you know picture of Canada, what's it like what the vibe is and all that. The other thing is that during the year i forced my friends to wacth this kids show called Naturally Sadie and the lead, Sadie had a brother called Hal and i've had a crush on the guy eversince. but all the Canadiens that i meet say that they don't know who Justin Bradley is!
