When will i get a suponea in the mail to appear in court?

my friend is on site fubar its like myspace. he contacted this guy that he didnt even know, and he didnt even know him either. he harmed him, annoyed him lewed him, and made many bodily threats on him. the other party said they were pressing charges. how long will it take for the suponea to be delvived to him by mail, especially if these partys live far apart im uming?
