How to get involved with professional photography?

I agree, what I did to get started that really helped me is start taking pictures for your school, like if you have newspaper or an art cl. and get the teacher's help then go to your local library and ask them do they hold photography things most libraries do. Then some hold contests that anyone can sign up for and do. But I agree with the guy above me, you don't have much to work with because of your age but you can always start from the basics and work your way up when you get into age.
